You can look to a handful of Patriot Place hotels, but you can be sure you’ll have a great experience at The Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel.
Not only is this hotel located a stoneโs throw from the stadium, itโs the only Four Diamond Rated hotel in Foxboro.
So, letโs take a look at what itโs like to stay here.
I spent two nights enjoying a comfortable, convenient visit to Foxboro at The Renaissance. It included delicious meals and easy access to โPats Place.โ Now I’m sharing my takeaways from the experience in my hotel review, below.
About the Renaissance Hotel in Foxboro
The Renaissance Hotel is a 4-star, full-service hotel that is just .2 miles from Gillette Stadium.
Thatโs where the New England Patriots, New England Revolution soccer team, and a host of concerts and other events take place.
In fact, you can opt for a Game Day Ticket Package when you book your stay. You can even enjoy some stunning panoramic views of the stadium right from your hotel room. Of the 156 rooms on the Renaissance property, half of them are โGillette Stadium View Rooms.โ To take advantage of that option, just be sure you book your room in advance.
The elegant vibe and extra amenities of the Renaissance Hotel in Foxboro make it an ideal stay for anyone in the area.
But donโt take it from me.
The hotel ranks #30 among luxury hotels in Boston (U.S. News & World Report) and #48 for Best Massachusetts Hotels.
With thousands of hotels in Massachusetts from which to choose, these ratings speak for themselves.
And, if youโre a Marriott Rewards member, youโll be happy to know when you stay at Renaissance Hotel, you will be eligible for points, perks, and complimentary nights at The Renaissance in accordance with Marriottโs program.

Where is the Renaissance Hotel?
Youโll find the Renaissance Hotelโs location convenient in many ways.
Not only is it about a 5-minute walk from Gillette Stadium and steps from Patriot Place, but itโs easy to access from Routes 1, 95, and 495.
The Renaissance Hotel is about 28 miles south of Boston, and 30 miles north of Providence. This makes it a convenient place to stay between both New England cities.
Likewise, local airports are nearby. Boston Logan Airport is a 30 minute drive, and TF Green Airport in Rhode Island is 32 miles away.
The Renaissance is adjacent to the stadium, and you can walk right over to the shopping, dining, and entertainment options at Patriot Place. Thatโs one of the things thatโs so great about staying at the closest hotel to Gillette Stadium.
Plus, thereโs plenty of parking at the hotel.
You can look forward to complimentary self-parking on non-game days. During Patriots’ home games and concert nights, the rate is commensurate with general stadium parking.
Don’t want to drive?
On game days and for a few concerts (only), you can take the MBTA’s Gillette Stadium Train (“The Patriot Train”) from Boston or Dedham. It brings you directly to Gillette Stadium. Tickets sell out quickly, so if you want to take this route, get tickets when they go on sale a week before the event.

Dining Experiences at Renaissance Hotel
The best hotels have on-site dining, and the Renaissance Hotel is no exception. It’s just one of the many places you can dine when you’re in Patriot Place. You’ll find this restaurant provides a great experience.
Twenty8 Food & Spirits – On Site Dining
Twenty8 Food & Spirit is a great option to enjoy a sit-down breakfast, dinner, or drink at the bar.
From the creative culinary offerings to the friendly waitstaff, itโs a convenient, casual option for upscale dining right in the hotel. (You can always order room service, too.)
Breakfast at Twenty8 Restaurant
The breakfast menu offers choices from light and healthy fare to hearty starters.
My favorite pick on the menu is a selection of multi-grain Toasts with creative toppings, like the Prosciutto, fig spread, and goat cheese. This dish includes two eggs, any style (I chose poached), and a green salad topped with pickled red onions and lemon vinaigrette.
Combined with a delicious fresh-brewed coffee, this dish makes a great start to the day.
In fact, it was so satisfying, I ordered the same breakfast two days in a row!
Dinner & Cocktails at Twenty8 Restaurant
Dinner at Twenty8 was excellent, too.
My dinner guest and I started our dinner with cocktails and Baked Ricotta with black peppercorn, local honey and herbed crostini.
Then, we shared a Roasted Beet Salad topped with arugula, goat cheese, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, and honey-soy vinaigrette.
For the main dishes, we dined on:
- Seared Atlantic Salmon with Coconut And Cauliflower “Risotto,” Yuzu Soy Reduction, Baby Bok Choy
- Creekstone Farms Prime Club Steak with Truffle Crispy Fries, Arugula And Charred Onion Salad, Roasted-Garlic Tallow Butter. (My friend substituted the truffle fries for GF potatoes.)
Our meal and dining experience was truly outstanding!
In addition to the delicious meal, our server went out of her way to accommodate our special dining requests for gluten free options, when possible.
The next evening, I tried the Venison Bolognese that I had my eye on the night before. This gnocchi, pancetta, shaved Parmesan Corto, and extra virgin olive oil dish was worth the wait.
Magnifico!
I splurged a bit, too, wrapping up my meal with the Roasted Apple Cobbler dessert. Made with Madagascar vanilla gelato and house-made cranberry granola, this treat was served in charming Mason jar!
Clearly, Twenty8 is a restaurant worth visiting, whether or not you’re staying at the Renaissance Hotel.
